On the 12^th of June 2009 in the Aleksandar Palace Hotel in Skopje the conference “Role of Women in Legal and Economic Reform in Macedonia”, was organized by GTZ, the Lawyers Association of Macedonia and the Regional Centers for Development of the East, South-east and Polog regions.

More than 100 women from different sectors took part in the conference with the aim to exchange experience and present successful examples of women’s role in legal and economic reform in Macedonia. The conference also emphasized the important role women have in leading economic and legal reform and the need to strengthen this role in Macedonian society.

On the 28th of May, the Centre for Development of the East Planning Region in cooperation with GTZ RED and the YES incubator, hosted a workshop on topic: Possible instruments for supporting the employment of young people and women in the Republic of Macedonia on local and regional level.

On the 14th of May 2009 in Hotel Sirius in Strumica, the Second Meeting of the Council for Development of East Planning Region was held.

The meeting started with the adoption on Minute from Constitutive meeting on Council for Development of the East Planning Region held on 10.05.2009 in Shtip and Minute from XXIII (twenty third) meeting on Council for Development of the East Planning Region in old composition, held on 13.03.2009 in Shtip.

On May 10th in the Municipality of Shtip a meeting of the Council for Development of East Planning Region. Presiding at the meeting was the Mayor of Municipality of Shtip Dr. Zoran Aleksov.
