After announced advertisement for awarding on contract for public purchases for preparation on “Study for using of potential of Biomass for production of energy in East Planning Region”, several consulting firms called. After the procedures were conducted, the Commission chose the best offer 'EMS Temos' from Skopje.

As a result, on 11.01.2009 in Shtip, the Manager of the Centre for Development of the East Planning Region Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva and Manager on “EMS Temos”, Mr. Slobodan Chukovski signed the Contract for preparation on above-mentioned Study.
Through the elaboration of this study, the potential quantities of biomass that could be used to produce various types of energy will be defined and through this we will get an overview of the existing situation in the region. The study will provide an overview on all possible technologies for using biomass for production of various types of energy with recommendations for the most adequate location for the region. The Study should definite most adequate locations for construction of production capacities according to type and economic costs.
