Planning for regional development in the South – East represents one of the fundamental steps towards fulfilling the mission of the regional centre for development. In addition, the centre for regional development in the South-East region marks the beginning of the process for identification, promotion, management and utilizing developmental potentials of the South – East planning region.

Through civil vote to implementation of project of regional significance

Within the framework of the project "Sustainable and Inclusive Balanced Regional Development" financed by the Swiss Agency for development and cooperation and the Ministry of Local Self-Government, the Centre for development of the South-East planning region will receive funds for implementation of a regional project that will be proposed for implementation through a participatory forum approach by the citizens of the South-East planning region.

For this purpose, on 08.02.2019 in hotel Sirius, Strumica, the First regional forum session within the program "Regional forums in the community" was held. Within this program four forum sessions are planned to be organized through which priority projects will be selected and will be proposed for financing to the donor Swiss Agency for development and cooperation (SDC).

Held IXth Session of the Council for Development of the South-East Planning Region

On December 25, 2018 in the hall of the council of the municipality of Radovis, the Council for development of the South-East planning region held the last ninth meeting for this year for which several items of the agenda were envisaged.

The mayors of the municipalities of Strumica, Radovish, Konce, Gevgelija, Dojran, Bosilovo, Valandovo, representatives from the municipalities of Bogdanci, Vasilevo and Novo Selo, as well as the Head of the Center for Development of the South-East Planning Region, were present.

First working meeting of the project team for the project "COMBINE2PROTECT"

Within the framework of the project " Common plans for biodiversity conservation and sustainable targets for the development of a bilateral network of protected areas - COMBINE2PROTECT" funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Cross-border Program between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia on December 20 and 21 (Thursday and Friday ) was held the first meeting of the project team at the University "Aristotle" in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The members of the project team were present at the meeting: representatives of the Centre for development of the South-East planning region, the University "Aristotle" in Thessaloniki, Greece, the State Environmental Inspectorate, R. Macedonia. Macedonia and the Region of Western Macedonia from Florina, Greece.

Funds

Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) is part of the package for external relations. IPA and other elements of the package are a great opportunity for streamlining and simplifying the procedures of the European Commission and improving the coherence and coordination of the activities of the Commission.
