On August 16, 2019 in Municipality of Vasilevo, between the Manager of the Centre for development of the South-East planning region, Ms. Zhulieta Gjurkova and the Mayor of Municipality of Vasilevo, Mr. Marjan Janev, an agreement for joint realization of the project "Reconstruction of a road from the crossroad to village Dobrashinci to dam Turija from KM 0+0000 to KM 0+800 in municipality of Vasilevo " was signed. The project is implemented by the Centre for development of the South-East planning region in partnership with the Municipality of Vasilevo.

 

 

 

 

This project was selected as a priority project by the Council for development of the South-East planning region on 15th of August, last year, for which the Centre for development of the South-East planning region submitted a Request for funding from the Programme for financial support of the rural development for 2018 to the Agency for Financial Support of Agriculture and Rural Development under Measure 323, Preserving and Promoting Traditional Values in Rural Areas.

The project refers to the reconstruction of the road infrastructure more specifically the part of the road that leads to the dam Turija, one of the most important tourist sites on the territory of the Municipality of Vasilevo, which is used as a primary source for supply of drinking water for the city of Strumica, and it is also used for fishing as well as for recreation.

The total amount of the project is 13.956.620,00 MKD. The Programme for financial support of the rural development for 2018 provided the amount of 11.822.560,00 MKD for the realization of this project, and the rest of the funds of 2.134.060,00 MKD are contribution from Municipality of Vasilevo as a partner in the project.

        

Funds

Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) is part of the package for external relations. IPA and other elements of the package are a great opportunity for streamlining and simplifying the procedures of the European Commission and improving the coherence and coordination of the activities of the Commission.
