Within the project „Agrometeorological stations for protection of agricultural crops and the environment“ the Centre for development of the South-East planning region started with the organization of info days for introducing of new methods of management in the field of agriculture and raising awareness of agricultural producers for over-treatment of the soil.

 

 

 

The Centre started with the organization on 13.12.2019 in hotel Shampionce for all agricultural producers and stakeholders from the municipalities Radovish and Konche, while on 23.12.2019 info day was also held for the target groups from the municipalities of Gevgelija and Bogdanci.

Before the participants an overview was made of the locations where the 23 Agro-meteorological stations in the region are installed through which will be collected, processed and displayed the data regarding air temperature and humidity, soil temperature, the amount of rainfall, solar radiation, wind speed and wind direction, leaf humidity and prognosis of diseases of the crops that are most prevalent in the region.

In addition presented were also the developed mobile application "Meteobot" and a web site www.agrojug.mk, through which all farmers in easy and modern manner will be able to obtain the necessary data in order to implement appropriate measures for management of agricultural crops, while also protecting the environment by reducing the percentage of soil treatment.

The attendees had the opportunity take a look personally at all the sensors that are an integral part of the stations and discuss how to obtain and use the data that will be measured through these stations.

In the following period, info days will be organized for the other municipalities in the region and one training will be organized during which representatives from all municipalities in the South-East region will be certified.
